Léo is a young Parisian dynamic and happy owner of a two-room apartment in the 20th arrondissement. After a beautiful renovation project, a great need appeared to Leo: of the storage! Small, big, for books, vinyls, statues, a computer or even an old record player.
His request was clear: optimize the small area with an installation to adapt the apartment to its way of life without multiplying the furniture. As was often the case in Paris, the building was made up of carefully crafted architectural elements: solid wood doors, enamelled handles, moldings, picture railings, oak parquet flooring and a fireplace. The starting point of the project was to adapt the furniture to the elements involved.
For example, in the living room, the library plays with the symmetry of the chimney it frames. The proportions integrate the height of the moldings that serve as coronation.
Gradually and in the image of the building, a classical architectural language imposed itself on the design of the facades: basement, first register and coronation. The shape of the furniture makes it possible to vary the uses.
To the right, the long bench seat allows to sit at the table while on the left it hosts the television. In the center one places his newspaper and down the lockers on roulette integrates vinyls. In the room the shape of the office allowed the installation of a wardrobe.
The noble parts exposed to shocks are built in a noble wood that recalls the oak flooring. For the sake of economy, the less fragile parts are dressed in a softer and less expensive coating: natural valchromat.
