Soft Stone Pillow Function
The pillow is placed on the floor and by lying down your body is guided to the right position by the shape of the pillow. The right position includes the arching of the chest and neck for optimum massage.
The massage given feels similar to that provided by a hand massage and delivers the best relief for muscle tension caused by stress and improves blood circulation.
Design
The inspiration behind the design of the new massage pillows comes directly from nature. In Sweden there are man beaches. We have always found the rounded stones that you pick up on these beaches both pleasing to the touch and intriguing to the mind.
You understand that the water of the ocean has shaped the pebble stones. But you can’t really grasp how the movement of water alone can soften something so firm? The waves massaging the stones for tens of thousands of years is such a beautiful thought, with such a beautiful result.
In 2014, we sat down with Dream Co. Japan and formulated the following:

• You want something soft, friendly and organic, not sharp or harsh.
• You want to be in the comfort of your living room at home and not surrounded by medical machines like in a hospital.
• You want a poetic, understated form that you can leave by the sofa, not a technical appliance that has to be stored away.
Two year’s design, research and development later, we are proud to launch the new Soft Stone neck pillow and Soft Stone back pillow during Tokyo Design Week 2016.
